Booting DSOrganize

If you are having trouble getting DSOrganize to start at all, your cow stays dancing forever, or you are unable to save properly, read below for tips and tricks that have to do with specific cards. If DSOrganize starts but complains of a missing resources file, won't load the homebrew database or web browser, or won't boot homebrew, you haven't copied all of the proper files. Go back and reinstall DSOrganize properly, being sure to extract the data directory into the right place (either on the root of the card or inside /data/). If you get an error that states you are not using a card that is compatible, go back and patch DSOrganize with the correct DLDI File.

Datel Products

Datel's NDS products are notorious for their lack of proper homebrew support. Older versions of DSOrganize will not run out of the box with one of these units, but newer DSOrganize versions are compatible with Datel products. Just make sure you are using the latest DSOrganize file and DLDI patch and you should be good to go.

GBAMP SD

DSOrganize does not currently boot directly from GBAMP SD. It is possible to get DSOrganize running on GBAMP SD however. There has been a very good writeup on how to get DSO working with your GBAMP SD posted here, so I will not duplicate the post. A mirror for the setup files is provided here.

Booting Other Homebrew

DSOrganize has a few loaders that it tries to use to boot homebrew. Not all of these loaders are compatible with every flash card out there. If you are having trouble getting homebrew to boot, check out the appropriate section in the FAQ. Be sure you haven't forgotten to copy all of the files over. To be sure, look under the resources directory inside the DSOrganize data directory. If you do not see either exec_stub.bin or load.bin, you haven't installed DSOrganize properly.

Non-Working Wifi

Just because it works in your commercial games, doesn't mean DSOrganize will work swimmingly as well. The dswifi library has some limitations. It does not work well with DHCP, so if you are using this and DSOrganize won't connect, try setting up Fixed IP. Also, make sure your SSID is set to broadcast on your router. If all else fails, set your router to channel 10, as this works for some reason on newer DS Lites. If you use the wifi dongle from Nintendo, DSOrganize isn't compatible out of the box, so you will have to set up a softAP. For more information on both of these topics, head to the gbadev.org forums.

Hanging Applications

If a certain application, like the scribble pad or the browser hangs when you try to enter it, or gives you an out of memory error, it is likely that the directory that the application uses is corrupt. To rectify the situation, run a chkdsk on the card in question and the application should be accessible again.
